Hostel The Globe Center is located close to the Red Light District and overlooks two of the most famous historic canals in de Wallen, the oldest part of Amsterdam city. Its only three minutes walk from Centraal Station and less than 10 minutes walk from all of the major tourist attraction points, such as Dam Square, Flower Market, Shopping Streets, Rembrandt Square, the Red Light District and various coffee shops in the Centrum area. However, the Globe enjoys its quiet and easy neighbourhood while it is situated some distance away from the major tourist traffic.
The hotel has 20 clean and pleasant private rooms, each with its own en-suite bathroom and shower room. It has triple, quadruple, and up to eight-bed group en-suites available. We have dorms suitable for from six persons up to 10persons! Linens are included on all beds, but free towels (with limited numbers) are distributed upon request at reception. We also have free wireless connection available in the lobby and hotel/hostel rooms.
There are also pool table for any exciting moments. In the bar, also delicious lunch or dinner for you to order. Hostel guests get a 10% discount on the food menu upon presentation of the hostel entre card. Also, there are Happy Hours in the bar - you and your friends can enjoy our offer of buying one stella draft and getting another one free during these happy hours!

for a solo female traveller the location would be questionable, however as four women walking even through the red light district at night we felt fine! the security of the hostel definitely helps with this, and with a location 5 minutes from the station it’s definitely a fair toss up. we had a very social dorm however the common area was less welcoming for meeting others.
cleanliness wise the beds and room were fine, but the bathroom was small, poorly designed and less clean. we even saw a mouse running t

This is the ideal hostel for travelers who are wanting to be out late partying and will spend very little time here outside a few hours of sleep. The cleanliness was not great. The rooms and bathrooms get very dirty. While the bathrooms get cleaned daily, they get dirty very fast. Again, not a bad stay if you’re just looking for a bed to sleep in. I would not recommend it to others looking for dorm accommodations outside of that purpose
