Hostelle is the first and only all-female hostel in Amsterdam. Hostelle was started with the idea to provide a safe and fun place for women who are travelling to Amsterdam to stay, so that you only need to focus on sightseeing and enjoying yourself while you are here. For female travellers with a small budget Hostelle is ideal, we are very well communicated with the airport and the city centre (only a 15 minute metro ride away from Central Station). Hostelle will offer you a homelike atmosphere and make you feel like you are staying among friends!
Hostelle offers shared dormitories with 4-, 8-, 10 and 12 beds. The dorms all have bunkbeds. Every bed has its own shelf and free locker to keep your valuables and a table with chairs (padlocks are for sale at the reception). You will find comfy beds and soft, fluffy pillows. Linen is included and a reading light is supplied upon request. Every dorm has its own theme. Some rooms have been decorated by local artists from Amsterdam. You might even find some surprises!

I didn't think the staff were that friendly or welcoming or fully explained what facilities were available when you checked in. For example, I didn't realise there was a garden, that you could purchase drinks from reception or that there was no oven. They also gave me the incorrect codes.

Rooms were very clean, bathrooms depended of the time you went, cleaners were really nice but staff in the reception were rude, seemed like any question you had for them bothered them. Almost ignoring us.
Nice garden to chat with your friends and people there overall are really nice (clients)

An inviting atmosphere where female travelers can share their stories with each other. I felt safe and comfortable. I do wish that quiet hours in dorms were in place, I was awoken by loud talking at 4am a couple of times. Solid location a 5 minute walk from train/metro station. Amsterdam is generally more expensive so I would say that the price is fair. Also the princess mural is hilarious.
