Overlooking the Liffey River, Abbey Court is next to O’Connell St and across the river from Temple Bar, meaning you can get to most Dublin sites on foot. The Abbey Court, part of 'Dublin's Best Hostels', is famous for its excellent location, brilliant facilities, warm atmosphere, friendly staff and competitive prices. The hostel has been operating successfully since its establishment in 1999, and continues to see thousands of satisfied guests coming and going year after year.
With en-suite dormitories ranging from four to twenty-four beds, the Abbey Court is known for its excellent group catering facilities. Rates include bed linen, as well as free towels for guests staying in single, double and twin rooms. Despite our central location, guests are still assured of a comfortable and peaceful night's sleep, allowing for a full and busy day ahead.
We've got hot water, power showers and extra showers and toilets on each floor, plus laundry facilities and a smoking area. We have 24 hour reception so there's no lockout or curfew. There's also 24 hour snacks and drinks and our dining, games room and TV area are open all the time.
Located just off Dublin's famous O'Connell Bridge, we are the most centrally located hostel in the city. Temple Bar, Ireland's famous cultural corner and nightlife spot is a two-minute walk away and can be seen from the front windows. We're just minutes from all the major places of interest and shopping areas including Dublin Castle, Christchurch Cathedral, Trinity College, the Guinness Storehouse, Grafton Street and Stephens Green. Also within walking distance are the tram stop, the DART station and many bus routes that will take you to more scenic areas outside of Dublin including Howth, Dun Laoghaire, Bray and Dalkey, plus the main sporting and concert arenas.

Very easy to meet new people and the pub crawl was so much fun! The free breakfast isn't anything fancy but it is free. I liked the free straighteners and blow dryers and the vanity area for getting ready was very nice. I wish there was a shelf on the beds especially top bunk but it worked out alright. The curtain is a nice touch to be sure

I emailed the hostel manager in regards to cleaning and noticing a few staff members from Central America imrpoperly cleaning.
I reported seeing a man spraying off the tables with chemicals while guests ate and explained where the debris goes (on food and other surfaces).
I explained the original issue to a female Server in Spanish and English and she should have related the concern in a way to not do it due to it resembling medical fraud, food poisoning, and attempted worker's compensation.

Abbey Court was my favourite of the hostels I stayed in in Dublin. The location is perfect - so close to buses to the airport, Temple Bar and the middle of town, you literally couldn’t get any closer. The hostel itself has a fun vibe with lots of artistic graffiti on the walls and cool decor, it’s very long and winding which makes it hard to navigate but adds to a cool aesthetic. it’s clean and has good facilities, staff were super helpful. No issues whatsoever.
