Haiti Communitere has a variety of innovative room types that will excite any curious mind. From converted containers to adobe houses to a private earthship, there is much to explore among your surroundings. Fans and mosquito nets are provided in all spaces. Pricing includes free wifi, light breakfast and dinner. The property is built on a tranquil garden of mango, coconut and plantain trees which shade a large backyard garden with hammocks and a rooftop to relax on. There is 24/7 security on the premises.

Great no frills hostel. Great staff that are very helpful and will show you around and tell you where is safe and not safe. Hostel is also a charity so even though $25 dollars is a lot for a basic hostel, it’s going to a good cause. That’s the way I like to think about it. 15 minutes walk from airport also.

Nice atmosphere. Good value. Friendly staff. Didn't sleep well though - room was unbearably hot as fan wasn't particularly effectively. Also constant noise throughout the night, including pestle and mortar banging from kitchen from 4:00am
