The perfect place to experience Salento. Vistaguila is a tranquil haven, with stunning views. The host John provided me with the most authentic experience I could’ve had. I came away not only rested but with the best experiences and a new friend in John. I could not recommend enough.

a charming hostel runed by a lovey family. the vibes are warm and chill. the rooms are extremely comfortable and clean. you pay less then whay you would in those swanky hostel and you get more.

Lovely hostel, they have free yoga and meditation classes every morning, offer lots of activities, the owner is lovely and very helpful! Breakfast isn’t included but they can make a nice breakfast for pretty cheap, and if you’re vegan there is a nice vegan option! It’s very close to the town centre so it’s easy to find nice places for food, shopping and to get the Jeeps to Cocora Valley

Amazing staff. Made a tea for my partner when she felt sick one morning.. Great advice from staff aswell regarding what to do in and around the city. Comfortable beds and hot shower

Had a great 2 nights at this hostel in one of the private rooms. Hostel has a calm and quiet atmosphere and includes a handful of spiritual amenities (turkish bath, yoga area, and more). Staff were very friendly and facilitaties were overall good.

We really enjoyed our stay at Hostal Vistaguila, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure we got the most out of our time in Salento. John organised horse riding for us, which was the highlight of our trip so far! The hostel is in a lovely area surrounded in nature, just outside the main town but in walking distance. It has a really relaxed feel to it which we loved. The yoga and meditation each morning is also free which is a bonus, and it was my first time trying Tensegrety! All the staff were lovely

Staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and they offered lots of tours. Just a 7 min walk to the center

lovely property with great helpful smiley staff! the hot tubs aren't really in use.. or they don't make it obvious when and how to use them! we couldn't find anywhere as nice as this swe kept on extending!!

We did not really understand all the good reviews here. The first night, there were a bunch of locals (not even accommodated) partying there since 10pm - 5am. I went to ask to the reception at 10:30 if this is going to be a full night thing, but said that she will ask them to stop. The music stopped (played it from phone only instead of speaker) but the noise was horrible until early morning when they turned on their motorbikes for 30 minutes until they left by 5. So considering this was supposed to be a chill and zen spot, it scattered my chakra instead. The rooms have metal doors and windows so there is no natural light and it is freezing cold there at night, also zero noise cancellation. We had a hole in the wall in the bathroom (removed brick) as a “window”, so we couldn’t even really isolate from the cold. The bathroom was also stinking a lot. The positive part was that the bed was quite comfy and there was a nice spot from the smoking area to watch the sunrise (if you happen to be awake at 4:30 due to party :)) and unless some other people, we did have warm water the whole stay. The owner was also a nice person. Overall, we were maybe very unlucky as the other reviews seem positive but we wouldn’t stay there again.
